Replace NAFTA Certificate of Origin on July 1, 2020 CUSMA, also known as USMCA in the U.S. and T-MEC in Mexico, will enter into force July 1, 2020.
A NAFTA certificate of origin can no longer be used for goods released under CUSMA on or after the implementation date.
To qualify for preferential treatment under CUSMA, a certification of origin will be required effective July 1, 2020 for imported shipments valued above CA$3,300.
